Event Code of Conduct

Roar Media Limited (“Roar Media”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, respectful, and professional environment for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, staff, suppliers, partners, and venue personnel participating in our events.
This Code of Conduct applies to all Roar Media events, whether in-person, virtual, or hybrid, including all associated networking functions, digital platforms, social events, and communications.
By attending or participating in a Roar Media event, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.
1. Expected Behaviour
All participants are expected to:
behave professionally, respectfully, and courteously,
treat others with dignity and respect,
contribute to a positive and inclusive environment,
comply with venue rules, health and safety requirements, and applicable laws,
follow reasonable instructions from Roar Media staff, venue personnel, and security teams,
respect personal boundaries and consent in all interactions,
engage in networking and discussions in a professional manner.
2. Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviours will not be tolerated at any Roar Media event or related activity:
harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind,
verbal, physical, or written abuse,
threatening or aggressive behaviour,
offensive, discriminatory, or hateful language or conduct,
bullying or deliberate disruption,
unwanted physical contact or sexual harassment,
inappropriate comments relating to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, age, or appearance,
stalking, intimidation, or sustained disruption,
deliberate damage to venue property or event equipment,
possession or use of illegal substances,
excessive intoxication or disorderly behaviour,
unauthorised filming, recording, photography, or livestreaming,
aggressive sales tactics, spamming, or persistent unwanted solicitation,
any behaviour that compromises the safety, wellbeing, or experience of others.
This standard applies equally to in-person interactions, virtual event platforms, messaging systems, networking apps, email communications, and social media activity connected to the event.
3. Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Commercial Conduct
Sponsors, exhibitors, and partners are expected to conduct themselves professionally and ethically at all times.
The following are not permitted:
misleading or deceptive promotional activity,
aggressive sales practices,
unauthorised distribution of materials,
use of offensive or inappropriate branding or content,
disruption of sessions or competitor activities,
unauthorised use of attendee data.
All promotional activity must comply with applicable laws, venue policies, and Roar Media event guidelines.
4. Photography, Filming, and Recording
Photography, filming, livestreaming, and audio recording may take place during the event by Roar Media and authorised parties.
Attendees must not:
harass or obstruct photographers or production teams,
record sessions where prohibited,
use event recordings or images commercially without permission,
capture or distribute content in a manner that invades privacy or breaches confidentiality.
5. Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness behaviour that breaches this Code of Conduct, please report it to a member of the Roar Media event team as soon as possible.
Reports will be treated seriously and handled appropriately and, where possible, confidentially.
Roar Media reserves the right to investigate incidents and determine appropriate action at its sole discretion.
6. Enforcement and Removal
Roar Media reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary in response to behaviour that breaches this Code of Conduct, including:
verbal warnings,
removal from sessions or networking areas,
removal from the event venue,
cancellation of tickets or registrations without refund,
banning individuals or organisations from future events,
contacting venue security or law enforcement where appropriate.
Any decision made by Roar Media in relation to enforcement of this Code of Conduct shall be final.
7. Health, Safety, and Wellbeing
Attendees must comply with all applicable:
health and safety procedures,
emergency protocols,
venue requirements,
security measures,
and public health guidance in place at the time of the event.
Any behaviour that endangers the safety or wellbeing of others may result in immediate removal from the event.
8. Virtual and Digital Events
For virtual or hybrid events, attendees must not:
share access links or login credentials,
record or distribute digital event content without permission,
disrupt sessions, chats, or networking platforms,
post offensive, abusive, or inappropriate content within digital event environments.
Roar Media reserves the right to remove access to any participant violating these standards.

Roar Media is committed to fostering diverse, inclusive, and welcoming event environments where all participants feel respected, valued, and able to participate fully.
